VRF Configuration
Lesson 3 of 7
Introduction
In this lesson, we will configure Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) instances on the Provider Edge (PE) routers. VRFs allow for the segmentation of network traffic, enabling multiple customers to share the same physical infrastructure while maintaining separate routing tables. This is crucial in service provider networks to ensure security and traffic isolation.
Quick Recap
In the previous lesson, we discussed the MPLS VPN topology, which includes multiple PE routers and their connections to customer edge (CE) routers. For this lesson, we will focus on configuring VRFs on PE routers to accommodate the HQ and branch sites.
